Of all our achievements, the jewel in our crown is the design and delivery (Mark Wolf – Project Manager) of the SMART Tunnel Flood Detection System. The FDS protects the KL CBD from the impacts of flash flooding by the early diversion of stormwater into the SMART Tunnel. The SMART Tunnel being unique in that is not only stores stormwater but also includes a 3 double deck traffic way. The traffic decks used to store additional stormwater as required. This engineering masterpiece receiving multiple awards for its technical innovation and proven performance in mitigating KL CBD flooding. One such award being the highly sought after: ‘World’s Best International Project’ – announced by the British Construction Industry in 2008.
